Explore God – Call To Prayer – Can I Know God Personally?

Dear Heavenly Father,

We rejoice and give thanks that the answer to that question is a resounding YES!  Not because of anything we can earn or deserve, but because of Your GREAT love, mercy, and grace. You have provided reconciliation to all people through the life, suffering, death, and resurrection of Your dear Son, our beloved Savior.

How could we possibly think that You would not desire that we know You personally when You sent your Son to us, Immanuel (GOD WITH US), to do what we could not.

“Who, (Jesus) being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!  (Philippians 2:6-8)

Lord, we know there are many that don’t feel as if they deserve or need your companionship.  We pray for softened hearts for those in need of You.  We also pray for all of us. Prayers that we can be instruments of Your love and kindness so when the lost experience that love they will want nothing more than a relationship with You.

Your Holy Word tells us over and over again of Your love and that You desire that we know You personally.   Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one can come to the Father, except through me” (John 14:6).

We give You unending thanks and praise for Your loving pursuit of us, and for revealing to us the One and Only Way to that personal relationship with YOU

In Jesus precious name, we pray.

Amen.

“And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend.” (James 2:23)

“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”(John 15:15)

God Is Good and We Are Blessed! Live as a friend of God!
