Scripture Reading

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
– Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)

What is your favorite song reminding you of God’s love for you? Why?

As adults we begin to understand what these words really mean. God is all we need. He breathed His very life into us and sent His Son to earth to save us from our sins. He suffered and died, paying the ultimate penalty we deserved, separation from God. Yet, He loves you so much He did die on the cross, just for you! There is no other friend like Jesus, our Savior. His intimate care and love for each of us is truly beyond human comprehension.

Each of us are precious in His sight. He wants us to come to Him with our prayers and concerns. Every word of God is true. He knows and cares about everything you are going through. In Hebrews 4:16 we are told “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive mercy and we will find grace to help when we need it most” (NLT)

Just imagine… what God could do through us as we know His love for us and reflect His love to others. How fulfilling and meaningful life would be!

What opportunities is God giving you to reflect His love for another friend, co-worker, neighbor or loved one?

Dear Jesus, please help me to be your best friend and bring joy to Your heart with my praise and worship of You and in my treatment and care of others. Amen.
