Luther Poster
As the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation is celebrated, Pastor Tom Noll
will show the movie, Luther. On each of the first three Tuesdays, one third
of the movie will be shown (one 40 minute segment each evening) to allow
time for discussion. On the fourth Tuesday, he will show slides of his visit
to a Minneapolis Museum which had a special Reformation exhibit and
displayed some historic Luther items.
The movie Luther was released in theaters in 2003. It was directed by Eric
Till, and starred Joseph Fiennes as Martin Luther. The movie is described
as “one man’s faith in God which launched the greatest revolution of all.”
Critics described it as “a stirring, sweeping epic,” “about as swashbuckling
as a history lesson gets,” “shot on 100 locations in 3 countries with
impressive props, costumes, and art direction,” and “as vigorously
thoughtful as it is piously historical.”
We welcome you to join the Tuesday night Bible study group for this
engaging movie.
